San Gennaro Porter Shirt - Crop
Created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the San Gennaro Festival in the Little Italy neighborhood of NYC.
We wanted to create something true to the festa without being obvious. With the gradure of the statue, the lights, and all the decorations on that street, we were drawn to the simplicity of the tomato. San Marzanos grow in the soil around Vesuvius, the same volcano Naples used to ask San Gennaro to keep quiet. As the Italian community in New York grew, tomatoes were sent over in cans and ended up in just about every red sauce in the neighborhood. So we made a navy button-up with tomato and vine embroidery, and Pomodoro di Napoli stitched on the pocket as a tribute to Italian heritage.
It has a boxy, crop-cut fit and is made from a lightweight 100% cotton linen. Features include subtle snap buttons with embroidery along the front placket and on the chest pocket.

Due to the nature of our natural fibers, wash on cold and lay flat to dry to avoid shrinkage. Avoid high heat.
