This Must Be What Paradise Feels Like
Here at Dinner Service, we prioritize taking time to sit and share space with others. Human connection is a powerful catalyst for both inspiration and revelation. A morning conversation with a friend over coffee could lead to a breakthrough on a creative project by the afternoon. So often, the things we say and the actions we take leave a much larger impact on others than we realize. Bringing people together and highlighting those who inspire us are two core values we share with our most recent collaborator, Briston Maroney.
From his early days of intimate house shows to his third year hosting Paradise Festival at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Briston has consistently captivated audiences — all while making the moment about everyone, not just himself. He’s a trailblazer in the art of doing things with love and compassion, and that’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our newest garment: The Paradise Cardigan.
Designed to commemorate the third installment of Briston’s Paradise Festival (no small feat for a self-run event), the Paradise Cardigan is a 20 oz. weighted cardigan featuring embroidery on both sides and finished with wood buttons down the front. The three embroidered birds are inspired by the jungle theme of this year’s festival.
The Paradise Festival has become an ever-evolving, three-night experience that transcends being just a few nights of live music. It’s a capsule in time — a moment of reprieve from the busy-ness of modern life. It’s a place where artists, fans, friends, and strangers embrace each other through their shared love of music. Just take a look at the contributors who make the experience special: tattoo artists offering custom Paradise designs, tarot card readers predicting futures, and a local magazine running a fan mail station. Meanwhile, artists you know share the stage with artists you don’t quite yet — creating a lineup that leaves you with new favorites by the end of the night. It’s no wonder people find themselves fully immersed in the perfectly over-the-top themes, the energy of the room, and the love that holds it all together.
At Dinner Service, we believe the best moments in life are the ones we share with others. We’re honored to have shared a bit of Paradise with Briston this year and to have collaborated with him on The Paradise Cardigan. If you couldn’t attend the festival, we hope this garment lets you carry a bit of the sentiment and a piece of its spirit with you.
The Paradise Cardigan is now available online.
See you next year in Paradise?
