Dinner Service + Sunday Scaries: A Love Letter to a New York Autumn

Dinner Service + Sunday Scaries: A Love Letter to a New York Autumn

At Dinner Service, we’re all about squeezing every ounce we can out of the weekend. Ordering a second round of tapas to keep the night alive. The third drink at the third bar. The last drag of a cigarette on a rooftop as the sun comes up with friends. Some of the most memorable moments are the haphazard ones we fall into. Where new friends are made, vulnerable ideas are shared, and dreams are given room to wander. It’s that “riding in the back of a pickup at dusk” kind of feeling we’re always chasing.

But Saturday nights don’t last forever. After the blur of the weekend, most of us wake on Sunday with a dull anxiety that creeps in with the coming week. Those are the days made for curling up on the couch, ordering takeout, a letting a comfort movie hum in the background while you mend the weekend past. Admittedly, that version of self-care isn’t our strong suit—but it is for the wonderful people behind the Sunday Scaries brand.

When we began talking with Will deFries of Sunday Scaries about a collaboration, we saw an opportunity to step into a softer, slower space than we’re used to. One rooted in comfort and care, but still intentional. One that feels like a slow breath in on a crisp fall day. And from there, the theme was obvious.

Few places are more romantic than New York in the fall. Every corner feels like a meet-cute moment. The colors shift, the pace softens, and a walk through Central Park holds the possibility of magic. It feels cinematic, like a classic 90s rom-com. And there are few better options for a Sunday afternoon recoup movie than a feel-good romantic comedy. Together with Sunday Scaries, we designed an exclusive collection that bottles up that special kind of warmth.

Introducing the “Rom-Com in Autumn” bundle. Our love letter to New York in the fall. Inside you’ll find a brown-burgundy roll-neck knit sweater embroidered with a framed watercolor scene of Central Park, a green suede pouch for carrying everyday treasures, a silk-cotton scarf printed with custom toile artwork, and a vintage-inspired motel keychain that calls back to city escapes and love stories that start with the turn of a key.

Made to be remembered long after the credits roll, this collection is about carrying the ease of a Sunday and the romance of an autumn stroll into the everyday. It’s a reminder that slowing down doesn’t mean dimming the light—it can mean letting it glow softer. Warmer. Whether you’re wandering through Central Park, posted up at your favorite neighborhood café, waiting for that serendipitously romantic shoulder bump in passing, or just letting the weekend spill a little further into the week, these pieces were built to hold the same tenderness as the moments they’re inspired by.

The “Rom-Com Autumn” bundle is available for pre-order now.  This is a special drop, only available for sale until 10/1, so make sure to get yours before then.  All products will ship in early December.
