Equal parts New York state of mind, Southern comfort food by way of Atlanta, and rooted in Korean tradition, C as in Charlie was born from the kind of connection only childhood friends can foster. That friendship between David JoonWoo Yun, Steve JaeWoo Choi, and chef Eric JaeHo Choi led to an incredible partnership--one that carried the flavors of home and the spirit of their families’ kitchens into a restaurant that now hums at the heart of New York City. Since opening in 2022, their take on tapas-style soul food has earned them Michelin recognition, but more importantly, it’s created a place where memory and innovation sit at the same table.

That kind of impact doesn’t come without a relentless work ethic and an obsession with detail. At Dinner Service, we share that same conviction. Craft demands precision, care, and an unwillingness to cut corners. When one crosses paths with kindred spirits who value the process as much as the outcome, collaboration feels inevitable.

And that's exactly what happened. Together with the team at C as in Charlie, we designed two garments stitched with the same intentionality that drives their kitchen. The maroon chore coat, with its timeless silhouette, is a transitional layer built to work as hard as you do. Featuring patch pockets on the front, a full embroidered back with chain-stitch detail, and an embroidered name badge on the front, this jacket is stone-washed to embody the vintage lived-in nature of traditional workwear. The second piece is a 6-panel classic dad hat with double-layer fabric on the front panel.
